The firm’s litigation practice comprises one partner (Troy Hawthorn), and one associate (Bronwyn Ablett) and two solicitors (Shahriar Rafiei and Ben van de Beld). Those practitioners are supported by two extremely competent and proficient personal assistants.

The litigation practice focuses on servicing the dispute resolution needs of the firm’s clientele. Specific client management and work practices have been implemented in the litigation practice as part of our continuing endeavours to meet clients’ needs and deliver excellent legal services. We pride ourselves on providing accurate, timely and user-friendly advice.

Nicholsons’ Litigation Partner, Mr Troy Hawthorn has had extensive experience acting for listed and unlisted public companies, self-insured organisations, insurers, underwriters and significant corporations and individuals attending to their respective dispute resolution needs.

The litigation section is able to provide comprehensive advice on all associated matters, including: contract interpretation and advice, strategic planning, document management and dispute resolution techniques and the like.

Our systems are continually being reviewed and the partners are presently conducting investigations and due diligence into document management systems to integrate our work practices.

Having an extensive, broad-based commercial litigation experience also enables the firm to competently deal with complex claims involving multi-faceted claims for relief.
