Hunt & Hunt Lawyers and Nicholsons Solicitors announce affiliation
From 1 November 2014, the national Hunt & Hunt Legal Group will add Brisbane-based Nicholsons Solicitors into its national network, extending the range of services to clients across practice and geographical boundaries.
Hunt & Hunt’s General Manager, Steve Sampson says Nicholsons are a natural fit with Hunt & Hunt's way of doing business. They have unique local knowledge and significant experience in the Queensland market.
"By expanding our Queensland presence, we further our ability to deliver significant practice expertise to a range of clients, many of whom want to have that service delivered to them locally."
Nicholsons’ Managing Partner, Troy Hawthorn said, "Clients have been asking us for more and more assistance to service their national businesses. This affiliation responds to that and allows us to improve on our service offering."
"Our clients keep telling us that they value the customised service which we deliver."
"By leveraging Hunt & Hunt's national experience, we now have fresh expertise to offer our client base, both here in Queensland and beyond," added Hawthorn.
Nicholsons’ solid footing in the property, development, strata law and commercial law practice areas has allowed the firm to service a large portfolio of property clients who are focused on mixed-use, high rise, greenfield sub-divisions and other areas of urban redevelopment where specialist legal talent is sought.
Commercial litigation and insolvency-related work are also key practice areas for Nicholsons.
Sampson says the move to expand Hunt & Hunt's Brisbane presence positions the firm as a truly national service provider.
"Fly-in and fly-out arrangements work for some clients and practice areas, but our experience is that clients want to be able to build long and deep relationships with people face to face.
"Nicholsons can now tap into Hunt & Hunt’s range of national service delivery systems which are used heavily by our property, banking and insurance clients.
"The strength of the relationship between member firms of the Hunt & Hunt Legal Group adds to its collective ability to meet client needs in the way that those clients want to be serviced," Sampson said.
"We are always working hard on improving the quality – both technical and commercial - of the services we deliver to clients”, added Hawthorn. “We want our advice to be accurate, thoughtful, and commercially realistic at all times. With the added innovation and reach which comes from working alongside a well-respected and larger firm, our clients can only benefit further."
Hunt & Hunt has a history of stability and success as a national service provider to its clients.
Sampson attributes Hunt & Hunt's success to responding to clients' desires to work with legal advisors who they trust, and in the markets and locations where they operate.
“Hunt & Hunt's quality service has achieved strong recognition nationally, their sound client service surveys evidence that commitment," said Hawthorn.
"We are delighted to become a part of the Hunt & Hunt Legal Group."
